1. Introduction
Smart Clone helps you transfer photos, videos, contacts, documents, and other files between iPhones, iPads, Android devices, and computers using local Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, Bonjour discovery, QR pairing, and direct device-to-device connections.
By using Smart Clone, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not upload your photos, videos, contacts, messages, documents, or files to our servers.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- Transfers occur directly between devices you control on your local network — not through our cloud.
3. Information on Your Device
We access data only when you choose to use a feature, including:
- Media you select for transfer
- Contacts you export or import
- Local transfer history
- Storage scan results for duplicate cleanup (processed on-device)
- Pairing tokens used to connect devices
This information stays on your devices unless you send it to another device you pair with.
4. iOS Permissions We Request
You can revoke any permission at any time in iPhone Settings → Smart Clone.
5. Device-to-Device Transfer
Smart Clone uses Apple MultipeerConnectivity, Bonjour (_scxfer._tcp), and TCP for cross-platform transfers. Connection data is exchanged locally between devices. We do not operate transfer servers that store your files.
6. Desktop / Web Companion
When you link with a computer, Smart Clone may start a local web server on your phone over Wi‑Fi. Files are sent directly to your browser on the same network — they are not uploaded to external servers.
7. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version may display ads via Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data under Google’s policies. We never receive your file contents through advertising.
Smart Clone Pro provides an ad-free experience. You can limit ad tracking in iPhone Settings → Privacy → Tracking.
8. In-App Purchases (Apple StoreKit)
Smart Clone Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not store your payment card details. Apple shares purchase status so we can unlock premium features.
Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
9. Analytics & Diagnostics
We do not sell personal data. Basic diagnostic information may be collected by Apple or Google (for ads) to improve stability, as permitted by platform policies. We do not use your transferred files for analytics.
10. Data Retention & Your Choices
- Transfer history and received files remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
- You may revoke permissions, disable notifications, cancel subscriptions, and clear app data at any time.
11. Children’s Privacy
Smart Clone is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. International Users
Your data is processed on your device. Local transfers do not require sending personal content to us.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised policy.
