  • All processing (merge, split, compress, convert, OCR) occurs entirely on-device

  • Your documents never leave your device

  • Photo Library access for selected images only

  • Camera usage for scanning features

  • Files app integration data

For Android:

  • Device information (Android version, device model)

  • Gallery access for selected images only

3.3 File Metadata

  • File names, sizes, types, and creation dates

  • Used only for app functionality

  • Processed locally on your device

  • Not transmitted externally

3.4 Image Data

  • When using image-to-PDF conversion, we access photos you select

  • Images are processed locally for PDF conversion

  • No images are stored or transmitted externally

3.5 Camera Data

  • Camera access used for document scanning and QR code scanning

  • Captured images processed locally

  • No camera data stored or transmitted

4. How We Use Information

4.1 Local Processing
All PDF operations occur locally:

  • Merge, split, compress PDFs

  • Convert images to PDF

  • Extract text (OCR) from documents

  • Add watermarks and signatures

  • Rearrange PDF pages

  • Unlock password-protected PDFs

4.2 File Management

  • Processed files saved locally on your device

  • History stored locally until cleared by you

  • Platform-specific storage:

    • iOS: Documents stored in Files app/PDFox folder

    • Android: Documents stored in device storage/PDFox folder

4.3 Performance Optimization

  • Device information used to optimize app performance

  • Anonymized usage data for bug fixes and improvements

  • No personal document data included

5. Permissions Required

  • Purpose: Save and access PDF files

  • Android: READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

  • Scope: Limited to PDFox app folder

5.2 Camera Access

  • Purpose: Document scanning and QR code scanning

  • Both Platforms: Camera permission

  • Usage: Only when actively using scanning features

  • Purpose: Image selection for PDF conversion

  • iOS: Photo Library access

  • Android: Gallery/Photos access

  • Scope: Only for selected images
